The back is printed in dark blue-black and carries the set name and card number at the top, followed by descriptive text describing a maritime kingdom with an area of 24,977 square miles, a population of two and a half million, a capital of Athens with a population of 158,655, extensive fruit cultivation, chief exports of currants, figs, olive oil and wine, and an army on a peace footing of 30,000. The Capstan Navy Cut advertising panel runs across the lower third, with the album line down the left border and the tobacconist line down the right.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003eGreece was a kingdom at the time this card was issued, under the monarchy established in the nineteenth century, which lasted until the republic was declared in 1924.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003eFlag Girls of All Nations was issued by W.D. \u0026amp; H.O. Wills in both a 25-card and a 50-card version, with each card showing a woman in national dress alongside her country's flag. Wills, based in Bristol, was the British pioneer of the cigarette card, beginning the practice around 1887 and adding descriptive text to the backs in 1897. The same series was distributed under several different brand backs, including Capstan Navy Cut, Vice-Regal and United Service, and was also produced for John Player \u0026amp; Sons and Lambert \u0026amp; Butler.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003eThis card is over a century old.
