Released on the eve of World War II, the 120-card set depicted the era's military hardware across subsets of Airplanes, Ships, Iron Cavalry, Field Artillery, Fortifications, and Miscellaneous World Arms, with each back asking \"Can America Maintain Peace with The World In Arms?\"\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal\" dir=\"ltr\"\u003eThis card features a wonderful northern scene of an RCAF Vickers Vedette flying boat moored to a glacier during patrol duty, with a red-coated Mountie and sled dog team alongside, one of the most distinctly Canadian images in the set. The back describes the three-seat biplane flying boat used for patrol and photographic work, powered by a 300-hp Wright Whirlwind engine, and notes that Canadian Vickers was the first company to manufacture airplanes on a commercial scale in the Dominion. The Vedette flew the surveys that mapped much of the Canadian wilderness. The reverse also shows an old blue ink stamp, a trace of the card's long history.
