At Florida A\u0026amp;M he played for Jake Gaither and was an all-conference selection all four years, with the Rattlers going 33-4-1 over that span and winning four conference championships and a black college national title. The College Football Hall of Fame credits him with 3,596 rushing yards in four years, including a 295-yard, four-touchdown game against Tennessee State in 1956 and a 98-yard run against Allen the same season. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1999.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003eThe Bears drafted Galimore in the fifth round of the 1956 NFL Draft, 58th overall, and he played seven seasons in Chicago from 1957 through 1963. He was a Pro Bowl selection and second-team All-Pro in 1958, and he was part of the Bears team that won the 1963 NFL Championship. He finished with 670 carries for 2,985 yards and 26 rushing touchdowns along with 87 receptions for 1,201 yards and 10 more scores, averaging 4.5 yards per carry.
