The back of this card lists Weir under Toronto and notes he was acquired by trade with California, with his three NHL seasons to that point all with the Seals: 216 games, 42 goals, 58 assists, 100 points and 38 penalty minutes. It also notes he tied Larry Patey as California's leading scorer in 1974-75 and that he put up 58 goals and 133 points as a junior in 1971-72.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003eStan Weir was a left-shooting center born March 17, 1952 in Ponoka, Alberta. California took him 28th overall in the 1972 NHL Amateur Draft out of the Medicine Hat Tigers and he stepped straight into the lineup, playing all 78 games as a rookie. After three years with the Seals he was traded to Toronto and spent three seasons there, then signed with the Edmonton Oilers for their final WHA season in 1978-79 and stayed with the club through its move to the NHL.
