He came up through the Montreal Canadiens organization and was acquired by Atlanta from Montreal, joining the club in 1972 as an original Flame. Through the 1974-75 season his NHL record stood at 171 games played, 502 goals against, 8 shutouts and a 3.05 average. Five of his wins in 1974-75 were shutouts, one of the higher totals in the league that year, and his 2.85 average that season was the best of his career to that point.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003eThe Atlanta Flames entered the NHL as an expansion team in 1972 and played eight seasons in Georgia before the franchise relocated to Calgary in 1980.
