He failed his first physical over an irregular heartbeat and was told he might never play pro football, but follow up testing cleared him and he won All-Rookie honors that fall.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003eAs a rookie he was part of the Bills line known as the Electric Company, which blocked for O.J. Simpson's 2,003 yard season in 1973. Simpson was the first back in NFL history to pass 2,000 yards and remains the only one to do it in a 14 game schedule, and that Buffalo offense set a team record with more than 3,000 rushing yards.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003eDeLamielleure went to six straight Pro Bowls, was named All-Pro eight times between first and second team, was the NFL Players Association Offensive Lineman of the Year in 1975, and made the 1970s All-Decade Team.
