He spent eight seasons as a forward for Rapid Vienna, playing 123 matches and winning three Austrian league titles, and he earned nine caps for the Austria national team. On October 20, 1965 he scored both of his international goals in a 3-2 win over England at Wembley, which is where the nickname Wembley Toni came from.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003eIn 1971 the Dallas Cowboys sent scouts to Europe looking for soccer players who could kick a football. Vienna was the first stop and Fritsch was the first player they tried out. He signed undrafted, became the first Austrian to play in the NFL, and kicked the winning field goal in his regular season debut. He won a Super Bowl ring with Dallas that season, making him the only player to win both a European league title in soccer and a Super Bowl.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003eFritsch kicked for Dallas from 1971 through 1975, spent 1976 in San Diego, then moved to Houston, where he was part of the Luv Ya Blue Oilers teams and earned first team All-Pro honors and a Pro Bowl selection. He closed out his NFL career with New Orleans in 1982 and later kicked for the Houston Gamblers in the USFL.
