Description
This 1836 Coronet Head Large Cent, graded XF40 by PCGS, displays attractive chocolate-brown toning with uniform wear. The LIBERTY legend and hair curls remain fully visible, while the reverse wreath elements are crisp. As the Newcomb-6 (N-6) variety (R-2), it features a small cut in the denticles near the date and minor contact marks at stars 5 and 13, all consistent with its grade level. An XF40 example of this scarce variety with original eye appeal.
